Spring is here!!!! Yaa Yaa Yaa!!!! It seemed to take forever to arrive this year!!!! Did you see the moon last night!!!! It was wonderful!!!! This little gal is named Posie!!!! She has been wishing for spring too!!!! She is hand stitched and designed by me!!!! I just do like a paper doll cut out and go from there!!!! Not that much too designing her!!!! I won a give away from Cheryl at Mammy Stitches!!!! It was a goodie box give away and she really stocked me up...yards of beautiful fabric...an old jar of buttons, a cigar box full of lace and ribbon...thread...a purse caddy!!! So cute!!!! Scissors and even some chocolate that me and Jager really enjoyed and Jager loves the fabric and I am going to try to make him a quilted blankie!!!! Well I wanted my header in the middle and maybe a little larger but this is a little much!!!! I will get it worked out!!!! But maybe just for a short while...it will be LARGE!!!!! I have been away...had another move...unexpected...and right before Christmas....well I made it through the holidays!!! It was a rough year....three moves...lots of illnesses and problems....but I made it!!!! Family is doing good!!!! Granbabies helped me through this last year and they are wonderful!!!! Of course!!!! My fun...crafting...artistic adventures have been neglected...but maybe now things will get going in the right directions!!!! Sorry I have been MIA for waaay too long!!!!! I have been dealing with health issues...Not fun....I have also been getting to hold this little darling and keeping up with Jager!!!! Fun!!!!! The worst part of being ill is that I can't have as much time with them as I would like!!!!! I am still trying out meds trying to find one that will work without so much fuzziness of the mind.....I have missed everyone and haven't been around checking out your alls goodies lately...Hoping to do that soon!!!! A healthy beautiful baby girl arrived Friday October 22nd at 12:32 pm weighting 6lbs 3ounces and twenty inches long!!!! Me and Jager and the rest of the family fell instantly in love with her!!!! Her and mommy are both doing well!!!! Came home on sunday...can you believe how fast they send them home!!!! Hope everyone is doing well and having some fun!!!!! Hugs

The fun of the night...Me and my mom and the neighbor ladies watching the blooming of the night blooming cereus..aka...Christ in a Manger plant....I don't have tonights photos downloaded but can show some of the ones that bloomed in July!!!! It only blooms at night and is gone by morning!!!! So you have to be quick and catch them...

also it takes a new started plant several years before it will bloom but the wait is worth it!!!! Hope everyone is having a Great week!!!! hugs to all

These are the sweetest kisses you could ever hope to get and he almost always has one to give!!! He is the happiest, sweetest, smartest little boy EVER!!!! Of course I am his MO MO!!!!

Well!!! Being MO MO I loved his little curls... but I got out voted by Mommy!!!! Turned out he looked so cute and his little cheeks even more pinchable than before if that is even possible!!!!

I finally got her finished!!! At first I was worried that I had not done this cute little pattern justice...but then a good dolly friend reminded me that a little of your own uniqueness is going to show up!!!!! I used the pattern but I loved it so much and knew how it looked... I did not use the face template... so she looks a little older than the original pattern did!!!! The more she sits around looking at me the more I want to pick her up!!! Now she has been sewn and stuffed since January but with the move and everything else going on she has just been waiting her turn!!!!! Hope everyone likes her!!!! My daughter had her five month ultrasound on Tuesday and they said She is a girl!!!!! This is great as I have a grandson!!!! Now he will have a little sister!!!! The little girl is due October 30 which his her momma's birthday!!! Almost a pumpkin!!!! But she will be delivered a couple of week early by c section... as last round they had to do an emergency c section when she had Jager... I am so excited!!!! Jager has been one of my greatest blessings!!!! Now I am getting another wonderful blessing!!!! I am ready for some girlie stuff!!!! hugs

Here she is!!!! Full view!!!! The one with a face is an original DANCING MOON!!!!! Her friend is from a challenge in my prim group, All THings Primitive!!!! Missing Limb Challenge and it was a lot of fun!!!! Everyone used the same pattern, Blume, but had to change the arms and legs and then send one arm and leg to someone else and then they had to use the arm and leg!!!! Middle of May? What? Already? Time really does fly!!! Wonder where it goes?!!! When I was a child, summer seemed to last forever and back then winters seemed more fun!!! Over time the summers got shorter and winter became a time of gloom and doom.. not a fan of the long grey dreary months!!! Wow!!!! I took that no peeking a little too far!!!! hee hee Just kidding!!!! Have you ever just done what your heart told you to and wound up in a big mess? Well that is just what I did!!!! Ok well!!!!!! You all know I love dolls!!!!! I also love just about all arts and crafts too!!!!! I love colors and shape and textures!!!!!! I love it all!!!! So I played around with a pic of a few dolls that have been waiting around for a couple of weeks.... lets see I was working on five different dolls!!!! Had them sewed up and waiting to see what they where going to wear and what their faces would look like and what color their hair would be and until they let me know there they sit!!!!! One is a Sweet Meadows Farm pattern and should wind up being a rag doll boy, one is a pattern by Jess of Little Dirt Lane!!! And the last one is an original by Dancing Moon!!!! She is almost done now she has her face and clothing but just needs a little somthing on her little head!!!! She just has not decided what quite yet, she is contrary!!!!! She is for a one to one swap so she is in disquise!!!!! Hee hee This will be my last post until Saturday Morning really early!!!!!! I am particapating in Madame Samms No Peeking Challenge!!!!! Dancing Moon is my Cherokee given name!!!!! My grandmother was Cherokee and my grandfather was Irish/Cherokee!!!!! They say that makes a wild fire!!!! hee hee!! I guess it does!!!! I belong to the Shawnee Piqua Sept at this time because they accept certain tribes as their own and they are federally recognized!!!! The Cherokee are working to try to have a federally recognized tribe also!!!!! Hee hee!!!!! What do you think of this one!!!!! She was for a swap in the prim group I am in!!!!! All Things Primitive!!!!! You can see the button on the right hand side of my blog!!!!!! Not that I have done many swaps but this was the most fun I have ever had in one!!!!!! It was called The Initially Yours Swap and what you had to do was take your partners initials and use to come up with your idea!!!!!! Well her initials were AJ so I did An Angelic Angelfish with a Jolly Jellyfish and she made me a Crazy Carnival Cat with her pet Bald Bird!!!!! Too cute!!!! There were only size rules for mailing purposes but you were pretty much given freedom for all things go!!!!! Oh!!!!

You couldn't tell what you were making and they could not tell you what they wanted and there was no peeking till it arrived to your partner!!!!! It was so much fun!!!!! Pics of mine from Aimee J will be below!!!!!!! Too cute!!!!!

Gourd and Gourd/Cloth dolls!!!!!

Here is a couple of gourd dolls I made awhile back!!!! The top one is made of all gourds!!!! The second doll is gourd cloth mix!!!! The bottom part is a warty gourd and when I saw it I knew it had to be a mermaid!!!!!! Gourds make wonderful canvases!!!! For several years I concentrated on gourd dolls!!!!! Back then I did everything by hand and then slowly I have come back to making cloth dolls, which I did for awhile way back in time.... I am slowly learning to use the sewing machine, as I had never used one......hee hee!!!!!!! Well my hands were getting tired!!!!! hugs carla

For the first day of December it was a very nice day here where I am in Ky!!!! I did finish up a little something something but will have to wait to show a few more days!!!! I guess every since I was a child I make it a point to look at the moon as many nights as I possibly can!!!!! Tonight I looked and it seemed full, but the calendar says not full until tomorrow and guess what we also have a full moon for New Years Eve, which means it will be considered a blue moon!!!! Wow!!!! Well a few weeks back I was coffee staining a Christmas Swag, Gingers, and I used coffee from the pot, and I noticed it turned out way more stained than I had actually intended and I wasn't sure why!!!!! Well then this past week I went to stain a small doll and once again instead of using instant coffee I used coffee from the pot!!!!! Ok way
darker than I had wanted as this was going to be for someone who preferres lightly primed items... so lesson learned took me twice to realize what was causing this and now I will not forget!!!!!! Use the instant for lighter staining!!!!! Yaa!!!!! Just goofing off for awhile today and then back to the mice!!!!!! I am hoping these mice will be just

about too funny to loose the challenge I am in!!!!!! Adding a couple of pics of my staining attempts!!!!!! Have a wonderful day!!!!!!!

Do you see two of the same pic too?!!!! Hmmm not had enough coffee yet!!!!! Well just wanted to show off my two newest dolls!!!! Well the little one was actually a first attempt that didn't work out well, she got burned up in the oven, now the smell is gone she decided she wanted to get dressed and then no one would know of the trauma she had been through and she has quite a little tude on her!!!!! Orange Annie was shipped out for a swap partner who wanted a huggable dolly!!!! I hope she is huggable!!!!!! What do you think!!!!? Cute little personality in her I hope!!!! I like to play around with the pics on photobucket and do the painting and cartoon and old fashioned photos with my doll photos!!!! It is fun and you get a new way of looking at them!!!!!! Wow!!!!!! Now I had every intention of writing something in this blog on a regular basis!!!! Hee hee!!!!! Now I have to keep up with this!!!!! I want everyone to be able to come here and have some kind of fun!!!!! All I have to do is tell you all the crazy stuff that happens to me on a day to day basis and it will make you laugh!!!!!!!!!

Wow I Have Followers!!!!!! Yaa!!!!!

Wow!!!!!! Until recently I didn't even know how to be a follower on blogs, so I just went and checked in often!!!!!! I am so computer Illiterate and maybe I also sound illiterate sometimes and sometimes I can't spell or get my words in the wrong order..... that is just me!!!!!
I am in some yahoo groups and I love it!!!! Oh they are all doll groups.... only one I am very involved in right now and it is International Prim Dollmakers and Pincuchion Group!!!!
I get a lot of information on dollmaking from Friends of Cloth Dolls!!!!!! There are so many wonderful dollmakers their and they are always sharing info!!!!!! I love it!!!! One thing I had never expected is how close you can get to people who you mostly just know over the internet,
This is something I am very happy about!!!!! Get all kinds of help, info and advice!!!!! It is
wonderful!!!!! I miss people when they don't check in for awhile and worry about them, is there
a bad storm near someone in one of my groups and I hope group members families are doing well!!!!! It is like a big extended family!!!!! Well I will be here checking in and out as life permits!!! I will be telling long stories like this one and showing you stuff that I make and showing you stuff other people have made too!!!!!! I always want to see everything everyone makes and I really love most everything people make!!!!! I think I have a great appreciation
of everyones creative results.... May not be the way I would have made it, but I love the spirit they had put into their art!!!!!! I believe when you put your heart and soul into something, if you are creating what you are passionate about it is ART!!!!!!!! It is late but I did get some pics of some recent goodies and I will get them downloaded and present them soon!!!!! Huggies carla

Deer Watching!!!!!

I will show you some pics of the deer I saw playing out

back over the weekend!!!!!! It was a momma and a baby

deer and they were eating and playing around!!!!!!

Never had really thought about it, but watching them that

day the baby deer was just bucking and playing around and

getting out of his momma's eyesight and she would raise up

her head and wiggle her ears like she was letting him know

to get back over by her and he would jump around and go

back to her and then run off again!!!!!! Well having an almost

two year old grandson I thought that baby deer acts like he

is going throught his T errible Two's !!!!!!!! hee hee

It was so cute and relaxing watching them and they knew I was

there they kept looking making sure I wasn't any closer I guess...

But didn't seem to mind my watching them...... Enjoy your drink

There is never a better time to start out, than right now!!!!!! And that is what I am doing!!!!!!

Things will be rough for awhile, and I am looking forward to new adventures!!!!! I am a doll

maker!!!!! I love dolls!!!!!! I have recently started making prim dolls and cute dolls!!!! Kind of

more whimsical I suppose!!!!!! Other than that my whole life is being turned upside down!!!!!!
