I AM A NEW QUILTER AND NEW TO USING A SEWING MACHINE!!!  I WAS INSPIRED DURING MADAME SAMM'S SPRING TABLE TOPPER HOP!!!   SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN LEARNING AND TRYING OUT DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES!!!!  I HAVE HAD LOTS OF FUN ALTHOUGH I STILL NEED LOTS MORE PRACTICE!!!!!   I LOVE TO DECORATE FOR HALLOWEEN SO I DECIDED TO GIVE THIS HOP A TRY!!!!  EVEN THOUGH I AM NEW EVERYONE HAS BEEN SO NICE AND ENCOURAGING!!!!! IT'S A LITTLE SCARY!!!!  I DID VERY BASIC BLOCKS!!!  I HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM!!!!

A simple nine patch!!!!  My grand son loves it!!!  It will be a pillow cover for him!!!

She  has lots of cute freebies as well as a shop to visit for original patterns!!!  They are all too cute!!!!  I just cut strips without measuring except for the 12 and half in square!!!!  Very easy!!!!  But very fun!!!!

Critique Please!!!!!

Hi!!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!!  Has everyone had that strange cold that is going around?!!!!  And does it ever go away?!!!!  Above is a block I made, actually the second I made for The Bloggers Block of the Month over at Peach Patch Quilts!!!!  It is called fun in the middle and my fun is kittie kats!!!! Love them!!!  I did not cut it right the first time and one fourth inch is a mile in quilting isn't it?!!!!  I thought I did much better on this one!!!!  I am getting better at my fourth inch seams when I have it cut the right size!!!!  The second month block is up-churn dash!!!!  Don't you want to come have fun too?!!!  Come on over!!!  Come on over!!!  Follow the Peach Patch Quilt button to the right!!!!  Have some fun!!!!

Hi!!!   I had another fun win!!!!  Some wonderful fabric!!!!  But most of the fun came from this Blog!!!!  http://www.pigtalesandquilts.com/  This  is the cutest little blog and you will really enjoy your visit!!!  Thearica hosts quite a few give a ways!!!!  But that is not all!!!!!  Ready!!! Check out this!!!!  http://www.crazyquiltingsupplies.com/   All  kinds of cuteness going on here!!!!  Lots of supplies for crazy quilting but not just for crazy quilting!!!!  Lots of it could also be used for card making and scrap booking!!!  Jewelry making!!!!  She also has vintage jewelry and czech glass beads!!!! Hi!!!   Well here is a start!!!  Cute cat fabric!!!  No pattern!!!  Just me giving it a good old fashioned Carla Try!!!!  There is a boo boo on the back though!!!  I sewed the grey piece on with the back seams going the wrong way!!!  I haven't got the seam ripper out yet!!!  Not sure what it will be!  But I have more fabric so!!! It will be something bigger eventually!!!!   I just started cutting and sewing not knowing where I was going!!! Afterwards I realized if it had been planned I could have done less cutting and sewing had I used some strips here and there!!!!  I usually do learn the hard way!!!!!  Good news though my grand daughter picked it up and said aw kitty kats!!!!  So it will be loved!!!!
